Warner Brothers has been trying to figure out what to do once the Harry Potter franchise ends.
The solution? Re-release all the films in 3-D.
Warner will upconvert all the Potter installments to 3-D according to the Hollywood Reporter. WB exec Dan Fellman confirmed the next and said the films will begin seeing release after the second part of “The Deathly Hallows” finishes ist theatrical run next year.
“I don’t think a wide theatrical re-release could sustain the costs of a modern marketing campaign,” Fellman said of plans for the relaunch.
Earlier this year “Potter” producer David Heyman admitted that it was “just a matter of time” before the films get re-purposed for the 3D format.
Warners last month announced that the “Potter” franchise, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, was being targeted for release on 3D Blu-ray.

Simple solution, just don’t go see the movies.

Definitely won’t get my dollar in the theaters or on disc. I’m happy that Part1 is not 3D, and I’ll avoid 3D if part 2 comes out in it. They did a horrible job of the 3D in HP6, I have no faith that this will be any different.

Dante’s Inferno needs to be “upconverted” for a ring of hell reserved for Hollywood executives.
