While DC and Warner Brothers haven’t made it official that we’ll get a movie version of the Flash, all signs are looking good for one.
According to MTV, a final script is expected by Christmas for the film. At that point, the official green light could be given.
We’ve also heard several reports that actor Bradley Cooper may be the leading candidate to play the Flash in the film.
Earlier this week, DC head Geoff Johns says the plan for the DC Universe films is to release one or two a year. Johns didn’t say when the schedule would begin, but its likely to start in 2012 when Warner Brothers runs out of new Harry Potter films.
Johns went on to say that the DC movies won’t be as much a shared storyline as seen in the Marvel pictures.
“I’m going to speak frankly: I think our characters are bigger than Marvel’s,” said Johns, adding that the company had chosen to spend its time building each character rather than “smashing them together.”
