If you want an iPhone 4, you may have to wait.
AT&T cut off orders for the new device yesterday when demand overwhelmed supply.
Apple says it and AT&T took orders for more than 600,000 of its new iPhone 4. It was the largest number of orders Apple has taken in one day, and far more than anticipated, Apple says.
AT&T, exclusive U.S. carrier for Apple’s iPhone, said it will resume taking orders when additional inventory becomes available.
“We are working hard to bring the iPhone 4 to as many of our customers as soon as possible,” AT&T said.
Apple’s website was accepting orders for black models only, and only for shipping by July 2.

The annoying part is that you can’t even go onto the AT&T website to determine what your overall upgrade cost would be…for ANY upgrade, not just the iPhone 4. You’re pretty much locked into your current phone until they get their act together.

I’m still waiting for an iPhone that actually has some capacity in the hdd.
Micro SD Cards have a 16 Gig capacity now. And the biggest iPhone is still only 32?!?!

This is just marketing. Artificially inflating the demand for the product to sell their new data plan.
As long as the iPhone is on AT&T, my boycott continues.

Meh. I decided to go with an HTC Incredible instead and I’m very happy with it. It’s SHINY!
