After a summer run on NBC, fans can expect to find the second season of the BBC series “Merlin” on SyFy.
The cable outlet has picked up the rights to the series, which is a co-production of NBC and the BBC.
The second season will debut on the network on Friday, April 2. The show will be paired with the return of “Stargate: Universe.”
A marathon of season one is expected to air on Sunday, 28.
On the original movie front, the Roger Corman-produced “Dinoshark” will debut on Saturday, March 13 at 9:00/8:00c. Corman has been behind several of the channel’s offerings, including “Supergator” and “Cyclops.”

Wow! That sure is a very odd combination, I can just imagine the reasoning behind the pairing of those two shows!

With so many great Sci Fi shows that have been canceled, you choose to save this? For example, Fox has a habit of canceling most of it’s Sci Fi after the first season. Firefly, Virtuality, and Terminator to name a few. I just know they are going to figure out a way to screw up the up coming US version of Torchwood.
Other channels have also canceled great shows in their infancy. Shows like Defying Gravity, Day One, Eleventh Hour, Surface and Jericho.
SyFy, I’m imagining greater, but you also have to do your part.

It’s not so much “saving” a show as airing one that has already been made and aired on the BBC. Yeah, NBC may be co-producing it, but I’m thinking the BBC has a bigger hand in it.

Sorry, really tried to like this show. I’ve always been an avid fan of anything Arthur, Camelot, Merlin etc, read many books and enjoyed various takes on the legend of Arthur and the knights of the round table.
But this show is beyond ridiculous…cannot stand the budding romance of Arthur and how they are depicting Guinevere as a servant. dumb dumb dumb and obviously all in the interests of being politically correct. As someone mentioned above, cannot understand why this channel chose to air a sub par series instead of one such as Jericho.Used to love this channel and now can barely watch it.

AGREED HEAVILY!
You know 20 min into the show, how its gonna end but the ploddingly slllowww direction, horrible dialog, ridiculas casting, take an hour anyway! If “Universe” leads it in and cant up its #’s then pull the plug on this mindless DOA corpse already!
This show offends me personally as a veiwer because it just makes too damn many leaps in logic – about the casting – and the stories- and the re-imagining (if you do it, do it right and go big like BSG…..),
why make the lead such an unlikable sorry sack so bad that you feel bad for him [getting kicked around, by the somehow not kicked around, not stable boy but PRINCE DICK already Aurther?] and theres no race card bieng dealt when I ask why oh freakin why is Gwen black in an ANGLO SAXIN ruled empire where even the surfs would have station above her? This is tooo much stupid to take I cant even spel right now.
(how did the Disney Channel invade this one anyway?) guess this network suddenly has too much $ after BSG & Caprica (find interesting AND TALENTED writers please and no more failed BBC mmmkay?)
I bet cash $$ and say thanks there will be NO season 3.

I have enjoyed watching Merlin every Friday night. In fact, I watch it twice when it shows that night. I am disable and when I first found the show I was hooked. I told my children about it and they also watch the show. When it went on for its season finally it broke my heart. I had nothing else to watch and I am waiting for it to come back. I keep checking to see when will it come back. I miss it every Friday since this is so I call it “My show”. If you can please email me when it will it be back si I won’t miss a show I do appreciate it. Don’t listen to the stupid people that don’t have anything else but sarcastic comments about the show. Just because they don’t enjoy a good show they can always watch another channel since they don’t like the show why watch it. The show is worth everything the people put into it the actors nd the producers. Thank you very much for the show it takes me away for a while. People need to be able to get away from the present and enjoy a time of imagination once in a while.

If you have children you appreciate Merlin. It is a wonderful series and my kids look forward to watching it every week. There are not many shows on TV that create quality family together time like this one. Please bring back season 3!

I do not know who is choosing what is to on syfy channel, but I could do much better, and make this channel. You are turning away. Viewers, you taking away the best shows and running stupid, stupid. Ghosts international, uhg! Wrestling uhg, uhg! And repeats, over and over again, and then you do it again. Swear if you take Merlin off, and all the good ones, sanitary, stargaze universe. You took calica away while still advertising the episodes. Whoever is running syfy should be shot. I am a true scifi-fan, I have watched every sci-fi movie series, mini series there has ever been. I am 57 yr. Old female and I love magic, vampires, space anything about who is out there. Come on guys get with it.
