Major “Heroes” Death Revealed

November 3, 2009 By Mike Hickerson 11 Comments

WARNING: This article contains the identity of the major character who wil l die this season on “Heroes.”   If you don’t want to know who is leaving the show, please turn back now or click over to our next article.  There are MAJOR SPOILERS ahead.

A couple of weeks ago, we brought you news that one of the major characters from “Heroes” would be dying–and that it appeared this would be a permanent death.

Speculation has run rampant since then with various Hollywood gossip and SPOILER columnists dropping vague hints about who it could be.  For a while the early lead seemed to be Peter Patrelli based on cryptic clues dropped by EW’s Michael Ausiello.

But now the news has hit the world wide web that while we had the right family, we got the wrong brother.  According to E! On-line’s Kristen, it will be Nathan Patrelli who dies in an upcoming episode.

Actor Adrian Pasdar reportedly found out he was being written out of the show when he read it in the script for the upcoming episode.

Of course, this should be taken with a grain of salt since the character has died before and come back.

One of the things I’ve disliked about Heroes is the way they’ve dealt with Nathan. This just makes me think they’ve finally said “well crap, we don’t know what else to do with him”.

WTF? Didn’t Nathan Patrelli die last season? The only reason Adrian Pasdar was still on the show is they did the whole “transfer Nathan into the shape shifted form of Sylar” thing.

    Or am I completely wrong?

Is this a joke? Nathan already died last season. We all already knew that. When they said that a major character would die this season, I obviously removed Nathan from the list, because HE’S ALREADY DEAD.

I was really hoping that it would be Claire.

Second verse, same as the first: a little bit louder, and a whole lot worse.

Yeah Nathan is dead already his conscience was put into Sylar and that part is also dead since Sylar is already looking for his true identity.

Looking back at season one, they really weren’t afraid to kill characters then.

Grace, Simone, Isaac, Ted, Linderman – All dead be the end of the season.

Now we’re supposed to be impressed because this season ends with Sylar shrugging off the compulsion that he’s a character he’s already killed?

Glad I stopped watching the show this season.

Does this mean we’ll be sing Nathan on Dollhouse Now? Or maybe he can follow in the footsteps of three other Heroes Alumns and end up on Glee.

Or maybe even FlashForward, because that show is nowhere near being too character-heavy yet.

As much as HEROES tries, there’s no going back and no reboot can help, the first season was the best and isn’t likely to be topped.

Nevertheless, I’m staying with this like Slim Pickens riding the bomb down to Moscow at the end of Dr. Strangelove.

Still love the show… it’s gotten better this season, but if it has to go… so be it.
