“Chuck” Could Be Back Soon

October 10, 2009 By Michael Hickerson 9 Comments

The bad ratings news for NBC could be great news for fans of  “Chuck.”

With several of their returning shows seeing ratings declines and the early cancellation of “Southland,” the door is open for “Chuck” to return earlier than its originally announced March season premiere.

In fact, Entertainment Weekly‘s Michael Auseillo reports NBC is considering returning the show as early as late October.

If that happens, it will be cause for rejoicing on two fronts.

One is that “Chuck” is back.

The other is that NBC is considering extended the episode order for “Chuck” from 13 episodes if the show has solid ratings.

We’ll let you know as soon as we hear something about the return date so that everyone can make their plans to tune in.

Yes, NBC! You want ratings? Kill Heroes, dump Leno, and put on the show that still has a loyal fan base.

    Give us Chuck!

Or at least an hour of Yvonne Strahovski jumping over counters in her Weinerlicious uniform. That couldn’t possibly get worse ratings than what Heroes is pulling down.

Best news I’ve seen all morning. I hope this is a signal that NBC is going to start making some intelligent choices in programming.
