When we first got news that actor Ryan Reynolds has been cast in the upcoming “Green Lantern” movie, one of the first concerns was–how would or could this impact the actor’s participation in the upcoming “Deadpool” spin-off movie.
According to Reynolds, he’s still attached to star in both movies and he tells MTV’s Splash Page that he’s eager for both roles.
Reynolds also says that filming on “Lantern” is scheduled to begin sometime in the next four to five months. The actor was mum on any other details about the project.
“It’s crazy, it’s the only job I’ve ever had that I’m not allowed to really talk about. I think there’s like a representative from Warner Brothers who I’m sure is following me around ready to blow-dart me if I say a single word,” said Reynolds, “I probably have a chip in me somewhere, like if I start talking about it, I’ll just pass away.”
A lot of [the film] is sort of like a space epic and some of it is on planet Earth,” said Reynolds, “[Green Lantern] has this ring and he’s been chosen to have this power and the ring can kind of create anything that his will or his imagination can conjure up.”

Sooo…. Reynolds sounds like he’s a BIG fan of Lantern. Wow… Hope he picks up a comic book before he starts working this role. Sheeesh.
Maybe we should send him a box of them…….

Could be good for either one, I think. The question I have is, should he? Is there another actor/actress who has taken on two iconic hero roles? It’s like Adam West starring as Superman.
Michel Daw says
C’mon! Adam West staring as Batman was bad enough!! I have serious misgivings about Reynolds as Lantern. Wisecracking, 4th wall breaking Deadpool, no problem.
