New “EW” Features “Iron Man” Cover

July 16, 2009 by Michael Hickerson   || Category: Film News

Eager to get your first look at actress Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow in the upcoming “Iron Man 2″?

This week’s Entertainment Weekly features Johansson along with Robert Downey Jr and Mickey Rourke on the cover, promoting the upcoming San Diego Comic Con and next year’s “Iron Man 2.”

In the issue, Downey says that a “lot of invisible eyes” are on the movie this time and that the sequel won’t have the same underdog status the first one did. However, he and the production team believe the second installment will prove the first one wasn’t a “fluke.”

Also discussed is the decision to recast Terrance Howard’s role as Rhodie with actor Don Cheadle.

“We had to make some tough deals,” said Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. “When they got public, you go, ‘That sucks. Okay, you want a peek behind the curtain? Here you are!’”

“Terrence and I couldn’t be more different. We address it head-on in the movie in one exchange. We’re not trying to fool people,” Cheadle added.

    Looking forward to this film.

The cast looks great. I’m not a fan of Scarlett Johanssen, but she does look good.
