“Family Guy” Reunites “TNG” Cast

“Family Guy” will reunite the cast of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” for an episode set to air next month according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Actors Patrick Stewart, Levar Burton, Gates McFadden, Michael Dorn, Wil Wheaton, Denise Crosby, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner and Jonathan Frakes will lend their voices to an upcoming episode in which the Griffin family heads to the annual Quahog “Trek” convention.

The plot (such as it is on “Family Guy”) will see Stewie blowing a fuse when he doesn’t get a chance to ask his favorite ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ cast members any questions.  He devises a plan, builds a transporter and beams the entire cast to his bedroom so they can spend a fun-filled day together in Quahog.

This isn’t the first time a “Trek” crew has reunited in animated form.   “Futurama” reunited the cast of classic “Trek” for the episode “Where No Fan Has Gone Before.”

The new “Family Guy” episode will air next month.
