USA Signs Deal for Universal’s 2009 Releases

Want to see the commerical debut of “Land of the Lost” and the new “Fast and the Furious” movie? 

You’ll have to tune into cable’s USA Network.  The network announced a  new deal with partner Universal Pictures for the broadcast rights for the studio’s 2009 releases. 

The deal includes  “Fast & Furious,” “State of Play,” “Public Enemies,” “Funny People,” “The Wolfman,” “Away We Go,” “The Boat That Rocked,” “Cirque du Freak,” “Drag Me to Hell,” “Flash of Genius,”Green Zone,” “Frost/Nixon,” “Milk,” “Duplicity” and “Land of the Lost.”

“To partner with Universal makes it a win-win across NBCU platforms, while complementing USA’s brand strategy with an A-list talent roster with a proven track record on the network,” said Jane Blaney, executive vp programming, acquisitions and scheduling.
