In a move that NASA hopes will revive interest in space exploration among the young, as well as adult civilian population, the space agency will let the public decide by majority vote where it will next point its famous Hubble Space Telescope.
By going HERE online internet surfers can choose between six different astronomical locations (or target objects) in the vast universe. Whichever target gets the most votes will become the center of Hubble’s attention with an array of photo shots and study from NASA’s scientists.
Voting is going on now and will conclude on March 1. Photo’s of the winning target will be released in April of this year at the upcoming “100 Hours of Astronomy” outing at the International Year of Astronomy event. If you vote online you may get lucky enough to be picked during a random drawing that could net you one of the 100 Hubble photo copies being given away of the winning target.
