Ghost Hunters go to college

With the success of “Ghost Hunters,” SciFi has ordered a pilot for a spin-off series to the popular reality show.   Tentatively titled “Ghost Hunters: College Edition,” the show will feature a group of students going around the country to seek out paranormal activity.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the students will be guided by an experienced ghost investigator. Producers have not determined if any cast members from the other shows will be involved in the new project.

” ‘Ghost Hunters’ appeals to a wide demographic, and we felt the college edition would be a great asset to the franchise,”  executive producer Craig Piligian said.

If picked up, the new series would be the second spin-off from the popular “Ghost Hunters” series.  The first series “Ghost Hunters International” debuted in January for seven episodes, generating solid ratings for SciFi.  “International” has been renewed for a second season on SciFi.

Paranormal State deals less with the "scientific" aspect and more with the religious or spiritual.
