“Now That’s What I Call a Close Encounter”

“Now That’s What I Call a Close Encounter”

October 21, 2008 By Sam Sloan 1 Comment

On Monday the British intelligence declassified about 19 UFO files from that nation’s secret files. We will be talking about one of the those files on our show this weekend, however, there is another file in the report that we find quite intriquing and it invloves the actual documented report from a respectable pilot of a near miss between an airliner and a UFO.

In 1991 the captain, crew and passengers aboard of the Italian Alitalia airliner had a too close encounter with a flying craft that could not be identified, didn’t respond to hails and was unlike any craft that the seasoned captain had ever seen before.

To this date the Civil Aviation Authority and military investigations into the event can not explain the 17-year old incident near Lydd in Kent.

For more on the story and a video released to the U.K.’s National Archives…GO HERE.

The declassification of these MoD files are an accomplishment in themselves. The fact that anyone can now view (for a small fee) these once top secret files is refreshing in this age of disinformation and classifications. This particular story is very interesting and is becoming an important case in the UFO realms.

Look out for more declassified papers being released in the near future which will hopefully provide us with more detailed information about more UFO near misses!
