May 17, 2008 By Sam Sloan 5 Comments

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced that all 13 episodes from the sixth and final season of USA Network’s hit show “The Dead Zone” will be released on DVD on June 3rd.

“The Dead Zone: The Final Season” is packed with special features including behind-the-scenes featurettes on the making of “The Dead Zone,” and audio commentaries from the cast and crew.

Starring Anthony Michael Hall (“The Dark Knight”) and Nicole deBoer (“Star Trek: Deep Space Nine”), the show has been a critical success since its debut. The Chicago Tribune hailed it as “…arguably the best television effort to be based on a Stephen King book and probably the best sci-fi show on the tube now” and Eclipse Magazine proclaimed it “…one of the best fantasy series on television.”

SEASON 6 SYNOPSIS: Prepare to experience all-new spellbinding suspense and paranormal adventures as Johnny Smith (Anthony Michael Hall) faces the greatest challenges of his psychically-altered existence in this sixth and final season of The Dead Zone.

SERIES SYNOPSIS: “The Dead Zone” is a unique psychological thriller that combines a rich mix of action, the paranormal and a continuing quest for justice. Based on characters from the best-selling Stephen King novel, Hall stars as Johnny Smith, a man injured in a near-fatal car crash, which leaves him in a six-year coma. When he awakens, he realizes he has startling psychic abilities that enable him to see into the past and future through visions triggered by touch. The sixth season of “The Dead Zone” premiered on the USA Network in the Summer 2007.

I have all 6 seasons of the dead zone and have not finished them yet i bought them all at once after hearing how amazing this show is. We have too many of the same kind of show on TV and is this is so different and keeps you so entertained. I am sick alot and in the hospital and bring my portable DVD player with me all the time and I have to pick different shows to bring with me to keep me entertained and to keep my mind busy during all the painful procedures. This show is doing its job for me even when I come home from the hospital and have to have time to stay in bed and get stronger again. I have been watching Anthony Michael Hall since I was a young teenager and cant believe how gorgeous and talented he turned out to be, I cant keep my eyes off of him, he is doing amazing work and I cheer after every episode. Please bring this back if they are considering cancelling it or if they already have fine take a meeting and bring it back it wouldnt be that hard to do, I cant tell you how disappointed I will be not seeing those beautiful blue eyes of his and watching how his talented has evolved into such an amazing watch. Congratulations to you Mr Hall! You have proven that child actors can grow up and being just the best TV I have ever had the pleasure of sharing with everyone…….TV networks please reconsider, you will be giving all such a huge wonderful gift.
