Garner and McConaughey Pair Up For Laughs

According to Variety, it looks like Mrs. Affleck, Jennifer Garner (”Alias”), will be joining the cast of the Mark Waters film titled “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past,” a supernatural comedy starring heart-throb Matthew McConaughey.

Our little butt-kicker from “Alias” has been pretty busy since leaving that show. She is starring opposite Jamie Foxx in Universal Pictures’ “The Kingdom” and Fox Searchlight’s “Juno.” Garner has even tried her hand on the stage playing the role of Roxanne in a Broadway version of “Cyrano.”

And, speaking of Matthew McConaughey, he has taken over the role originally given to Owen Wilson in the new Ben Stiller comedy “Tropic Thunder.” Matt will join the ensemble cast that includes Stiller, Jack Black, , Robert Downey Jr., Nick Nolte, Bill Hader and Steve Coogan. “Tropical Thunder” is the tale of a group of actors who are sent to an island to shot a war picture only to have to be real soldiers when an uprising happens on the tiny remote tropical paradise.
