    That is frackin’ COOL!

I have never been a follower of the Iron Man series, but this preview is beyond great.

    8 months and counting!

I think I peed myself a little when I saw the trailer. Downey nails Stark, and the Black Sabbath music is awesome

I saw the trailer on Comedy Central the other night, and it took me awhile to realize that it wasn’t another terrorism movie. I dunno if that’s good or bad. But once I realized what it was, I have to say that I’m looking forward to the movie. I wasn’t too sure on Downey Jr., but I think he’s totally going to make it work.

Just to get in a plug for the Forums, the news about the IM trailer was posted there a couple of days ago.
    *grin*

But it is very cool. I really like that we see the original gray suit and the sleek red and gold look. The flying scenes give me little shivers.

Ok, I am not the biggest Tony Stark/Ironman fan – but this looks awesome! I bet they paid through the nose to get the rights for the Black Sabbath song – but it totally works!

I had doubts about Robert Downey, Jr but it looks as if they are going for the “Ultimates” version of Stark, which is made for him.

    This actually looks quite good.

terrorism is only stark’s background and thats how iron man was born,, nothing to do with him.

im not sure if its going ultimate,,just bcoz Sammy is nick fury.. i think bcoz hasselhoff played as fury back then, sam really got the voice and personality of bad ass nick fury.. besides cap, thor havent been in the movie yet, so shouldnt be any copyright problem in starting an avengers movie,, and they are working on the new hulk, so marvel is starting all over again,,

That trailer is FRIGGIN’ AWESOME!! /me kicks self for not thinking of using the “Iron Man” Black Sabbath song first. One of the best trailers EVER! I love Downey’s portrayal of Stark. Very “Thank You For Smoking” -esque. I love the line: “People say the best weapon is one you never have to fire, I prefer the one you only have to fire once. That’s how dad did it, that’s how America does it and it’s worked out pretty well so far.” Love it!

All that being said, it sometimes happens that the trailer is far better than the movie. I’m hoping that this isn’t the case with this one. I just like this trailer so much, I’m almost afraid to see the movie. I REALLY don’t want to be disappointed.

I like Robert as Tony Stark he nails him like Keaton did Bruce Wayne. I like the origin updated also it appears to be iraq while the original was set in vietnam. Villians? Mandrine? will we see War Machine? dreadnoughts? Mars siblings? boardroom meetings and hostile takeovers? Fin Fang Foom? Maybe Black Panther and Klaw? I cant wait to see this movie.

I’m a massive comic book geek and Iron Man was one of my favourites as a kid in the mid 1980’s. It looks to me like this movie going to be great in three ways :
    1) it looks like it will kick butt as an action movie in it’s own right
    2) They’ve actually got Iron Man going up against jet fighters – this is like seeing Bob Layton or Mark Bright’s pencil’s up on screen
    3) They seem to have pinned down the “ultimate” sensibility which should make it better than Spidey 3 – which was too retro (death of Gwen Stacy anyone!) in my opinion

I wonder if it will do the comic justice at all!
