Limited-Edition “Londinum” Misprinted Poster Now Available

September 4, 2007 By S. K. Sloan 1 Comment

A funny thing happened on QMx’s way to Comic-Con International 2007 in San Diego. It seems a certain Mr. Joss Whedon – you know, that fellow who created a little thing called Firefly and Serenity – found a small problem with one of their preproduction Blue Sun Travel posters the California Browncoats were selling at the show. The hitch? Well, in Joss’ own words, posted on Whedonesque.com:

londinum.jpg“Wow. Those are extremely cool. Masterfully designed.

But it’s ‘Londinium.’

But they’re really great!”

Needless to say, QMx brought production to a screeching halt. They then changed the final version of the poster to include the second “i” – but not before some of those preproduction sets made it into the hands of a lucky few Browncoats.

Some of you have taken issue with this. You’re just a bit miffed that you can’t get the “One -Eye” Londinum art print anymore. Well, QMx aims to fix that with 1,000 numbered prints of old One-Eye. They’re introducing these at a very low price for a numbered limited edition: just $19.95. Same 17″ x 22″ size and same high quality, 100-pound, satin finish paper as their retail travel posters.

The plates have been destroyed – when these are gone they’re gone forever. So get yourself a copy this QMx favorite mistake before they’re no more. To order yours just click on on the Blue Sun Travel link above.
