I don’t understand why.
“Equus” isn’t going to be seen by any of those people.
I’ve both read the play and seen the film.
It’s NOT for kids.
(Hell, it’s not for a lot of so-called “grown-ups” either.)
The idea of people being upset at him for being in this play is just as silly as him never getting to do serious theatre and film because of his association with the Harry Potter films.
I think the question should be: “Is he good in ‘Equus’?”
Not to mention, that most of the people that have gotten upset about it live in a country that it takes an 8 – 14 hour plane ride to get there to see it to be upset about it…
