Battlestar Galactica vrs. Star Wars

December 14, 2006 By Sam Sloan 7 Comments

3.jpgWe still don’t have a clue what the outcome would be if Galactica and Enterprise went up against each other in a head-to-head battle, but thanks to the innovative imagery of Dennis Peabody and many of his creative friends we can know what the results could possibly be if there were a confrontation between the Galactica Battle Fleet and the Galactic Empire from the Star Wars universe.

Check out Dennis’ imaginative video from YouTube.com for a great space battle.

A big thanks to Bert Singels for sending this our way to share with all of you.

Close, but not quite. They’re using 2006 BSG physics on the vipers/battlestars (jumping out) but 1979 ship designs.

I swore I’d not get in on this, i kept trying, i failed.

Reminds me of a website starshipbattles.com (at least, it used to exist).

It was a collection of CG battles between Star Wars, Battlestar and Star Trek ships. Great stuff and big fun to watch…

can’t find any links to them anymore tho 🙁

I was all set to see the Superstar Destroyer finish off the Galactica when it ran a way.

I’m actually Dennis’ roommate. It was by chance I stumbled upon this new item. I would like to clarify something. ALL of the animation was done by Dennis. The only thing he did not do was create the individual models for the ships. Those he found in various places online and used them to make this animation.

P.S. He’s currently working on the next battle (don’t hold your breath though)
