Excalibur & New Voyages: Behind the Scenes

June 1, 2006 By S. K. Sloan 1 Comment

A great video presentation giving a birdseye view of the massive set and behind-the-scenes prep work being done for the fan film production of Star Trek: Excalibur can be found on the official Excalibur Website. The size of the soundstage is awesome enough to make some professional Hollywood set designers envious.

On the Star Trek: New Voyages Website a new trailer for the upcoming Walter Koenig feature “To Serve All My Days” is ready for download as well as a cool “Behind the Scenes” look at what it takes to put a fan film production on the scale of New Voyages together. Plus, you get to see Doc McCoy and Spock toss back a couple of cold ones.

I’ve seen the “To Serve All My Days” trailer. I’m sure it was common knowledge, but I had assumed that Mr. Koenig would either be playing another character or a “future” Chekov looking back on something. After seeing the trailer, I’m quite pleased to see what they have planned, and am even more eager to see the final product (if that’s possible). For those that haven’t seen any of the “New Voyages” yet, what are you waiting for?
