This week, producer and writer David O’Leary joins us to talk about his newest series, “Project Blue Book”, a ten episode drama series is based on the true, top-secret investigations into Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) and related phenomena conducted by the United States Air Force in the 1950s and 1960s.

David talks about his interest in this subject, and the research Dr. Hynek had done, and how those investigations had led him to move from being a skeptic to a believer, but one who knew there was so much more information needed to begin to make accurate scientific theories about what’s happening.

The series plays with perceptions of the time that were directly affected by fears, paranoias, distrust, and how an undercurrent of espionage and counterespionage also fuels the campaigns of disinformation being actively being pursued by US government agencies.

“Project Blue Book” premieres on History Channel on Tuesday, January 8, 10pm Eastern.
