My favorite quiet horror scenario is having a robber break into my house and have my cell phone give away my location.

Not sure if you meant a “movie scene”, but remember in 2001 Space Oddisey, after the famous part where HAL doesnt open the pod bay doors, and Bowman has to eject itself into vacuum to get inside Discovery? All you can hear is his breathing, until he opens the lock and then you don’t hear anything until the air pressure is back… as a kid, that freaked me out.

Here’s an oldie but a goodie – The Fall of the House of Usher (actually titled “La chute de la maison Usher”) back in 1928 when there wasn’t a choice of having sound. The director really used the absence of sound to create a very somber and scary portrayal of the classic Edgar Allan Poe story!

My favorite quiet horror scenario in this movie, was one that was very indicative of the unconditional love parents feel for their kids. The scene in which Lee sacrifices himself for his children is my favorite scene from the film. Unconditional love right there!
