“Logan”: Missed Connections Derail Good Intentions Lack of character connections & dismissive fan acknowledgement bring this film down

February 28, 2017 By Daren Gulsvig and Noah Richman 2 Comments

Noah and Daren had high expectations for Logan, both as huge Claremont-Byrne X-Men fans, and as fans who enjoyed The Wolverine. They were disappointed.

The “Old Man Logan” storyline in Logan isn’t the Wolverine movie they had been waiting for, to the point of feeling their segment of the X-Men fanbase was shouldered aside.

First we get a review saying it’s a brilliant move, and now we get a review saying it’s a horrible movie.
    On the same website!

    I’ve never been so confused.

We have a crew of geeks with diverse interests and tastes, to provide the best insights (or fodder for arguments) just for you!

I honestly think this is ripe for a show featuring a discussion about what influences such wildly opposed opinions. Could be fun.
