There has been a lot of unnecessary friction between the two Star universes for almost four decades. Fans of Star Trek and Star Wars have come close to phaser/light saber blows on more than one occasion and even actors from the two franchises have been known to sling a few dirty arrows back and forth (Bill and Carrie play nice now). But there has been crossover between the two universes. The most recent is director J.J. Abrams the current leader of alternate Trek who will now take the reigns of Star Wars into his eager little hands and guide its future as well. However, Abrams is not the first. There was an original Star Trek actor who crossed streams a few years ago and wandered into the Wars world.
