Who Is Your Favorite Superman?

Who Is Your Favorite Superman?

June 10, 2013 By News Droid 4 Comments

As Man of Steel swoops into theaters this weekend, we look back at the live-action history of Superman and ask you — who is your favorite actor in the role?

Please note: This poll only addresses those who have played Superman on TV and in the movies.  This does not include various voice actors in animated series or the multiple shows about Superboy.

While technically not yet considered “a man” I added Tom Welling to the list since Smallville became an intricate part of Americana after 10 seasons on the air (longer than any other TV series of the superhero). He did become Superman instead of a boy by the final season and last episode.

And Gerard Christopher and John Haymes Newton should be there, too. They played Superman in college. That version of Superboy was Superman younger.

Unlike post-Crisis Superboy who is NOT Superman at all, but is a clone made from Superman and Lex Luthor’s combines DNA.

And Gerard Christopher was the 3rd best screen Superman.

      1) Christopher Reeve -Best
      2) Brandon Routh
      3) Gerard Christopher
      4) George Reeves
      5) Kirk Alyn
      6) John Haymes Newton
      7) Dean Cain – Worst

Sorry….he’s still Superboy. That’s what the series was called!

Christopher Reeve is the best,I grew up on George Reeves and he is number two by far if not number one.
