For years, Archie’s biggest dilemma has been whether to ask Veronica or Betty for a date. That’s all about to change as brain-hungry zombies are about to descend upon Riverdale.
According to Deadline, Warner Brothers has signed a deal to produce a new Archie movie, but this one will have a twist.
In addition to the usual elements of Riverdale High, Mr. Weatherbee and Jughead, the film will also feature elements from writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa’s Afterlife with Archie series. And yes, the series includes zombies.
Aguirre-Sacasa says the series combines his two great passions — Archie comics and horror comics.
The script will also see musical numbers and standard non-zombie elements from the long run of Archie comics.
It sounds like it could be interesting or it could be a steaming pile of zombie parts. What do you think?
