Contest: Prescott Film Festival Sci-fi Mini-Fest Passes

April 8, 2013 By Summer Brooks Leave a Comment

The Prescott Film Festival will be taking place July 24-31 2013, but to get things warmed up, they’re having a Scifi Mini-Fest April 19-21! Check out our interview with Festival Director Helen Stephenson and Yavapai College VP Clint Ewell for more background and details on the festival and the mini-fest.

In addition to the panels featuring guests like Rod Roddenberry and Alan Dean Foster, they’re having a weekend-long scifi movie blitz, playing the following scifi classics and blockbusters on the big screen:

Forbidden Planet
District 9
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
Trek Nation
Star Trek (JJ Abrams Reboot)
Galaxy Quest
The Matrix
Inception

But starting the weekend off on Friday night will be a “Space Jam” Dance, with a professional VJ provided by Endless Entertainment out of Phoenix. Come casual, or as your favorite Sci-Fi character-top three costumes will win a pair of movie passes for the entire Sci-Fi weekend…

But wait… there’s more!

2 lucky Slice of SciFi fans can win a pair of movie passes for the weekend as well!

All you have to do is dress up in the costume you’d wear to the dance, and either shoot a short video of yourself dancing, or take a photo and tell us what song you’re dancing to!

Just send in those entries, and use the Subject “Space Jam Dance Contest”

Winners will be selected on Wednesday April 17th… we’ll will pick two winners, but please, if you can’t be in Prescott to pick up and use your passes, please defer from submitting an entry.
