Slice of SciFi Asks: What Project Would YOU Help Kickstart?

March 24, 2013 By News Droid 5 Comments

We’ve all seen the great news that Veronica Mars movie project was fully funded via Kickstarter, and that led to wild speculation running rampant about other projects (what? wild, unsubstantiated rumors burning up the Interwebs, fueled by excited geeks? Say it ain’t so!)

Given that there are so many shows that so many of us believe were denied closure, completion, or even a fair shot, which one would you actually put your money down on to get that final chapter?

If you don’t see your #1 choice on the list, let us know in the comments!

note: Firefly and Serenity 2 aren’t on the list because Joss has already said he wouldn’t go that route.

It dawned on me after I posted this that there’s another CW show I wouldn’t mind getting some closure for… Valentine. I think I might be the only one who watched it, though… even got a screener from CW for it.

Not a scifi show, so it didn’t fit with this particular list. I think the list would have another 20 shows if we went into mainstream programs

While not a revival per se, I would kickstart the massive visual effects undertaking of re-creating all of the Babylon 5 CGI so that the show can be upscaled to HD. As far as The Great Maker has said, upscaling the old CG is the only insurmountable hurdle to the process.

Had to go with Sarah Connor Chronicles…despite the fact that I loved Stargate Universe it had more closure than SSC. SSC was just left hanging in the wind. And if we are talking about shows that weren’t given a fair shot…Firefly…the movie Serenty (while I thought it was okay) just didn’t do it for me…I wanted more.
