AMC Extends “Dead” Season Three

AMC Extends “Dead” Season Three

January 18, 2012 By Mike Hickerson 3 Comments

AMC has given the order for more flesh-eating zombies.

The cable outlet has extended the order for the third season of The Walking Dead.  The upcoming season will run 16 episodes instead of 13.

Producers have also hired two new writers. According to Zap2it, Nichole Beattie and Sang Kim are joining the Walking Dead team. Beattie previously worked on the defunct AMC dramaRubicon, while Kim wrote for TNT’s Hawthorne.

The second half of season two picks up on February 12.

Why do we need more zombies? They don’t talk, they don’t really do anything except try to eat people. A 45 minute episode of all zombies would be very boring.

This show isn’t about zombies. It’s about how people deal with living with zombies.

I enjoyed the short run of Rubicon. I expect good things. As the characters are becoming very well developed now.
