    Loved it.
It was great to see Myles, Barrowman and Owens back together again.
I liked how it’s written so if you never saw the previous seasons of the show and had no idea about the missing former agents, you knew that Torchwood was pretty much a deadly organization to be associated with.
Mekhi Pfifer and Alexa Drummond proove their ability to stand up with Barrowman and Myles. (Mekhi Pfifer being a woefully under-appreciated actor as far as Hollywood is concerned. But don’t get me started.)
The creepiest and most fascinating part is played by Bill Pulliam, who is usually The Good Guy.
I, personally, LOVE seeing actors play against what we usually see them play. (Which is why I’m: 1)Excited to see Harrison Ford in “Cowboys & Aliens; and 2) Waiting to see Tom Hanks cast as a son-of-a-bitch. Not a *loveable* son-of-a-bitch, but a straigh-up, “Alonzo Harris”-type dude.)
That having been said, Torchwood: Miracle Day had the Torchwood excitement and creeps (Come on, no one can die? One scene made me yell out loud it was so horrific.)
There’s no sex, but there wasn’t in Children of Earth either. That mini-series was not only No Sex…it was No Joke.
In other words: Great opening ep. [And I didn’t spoil anything! : ) ]

I liked it except for the parts with cheesy British people.
