if anything can last on fridays, fringe is it. Though I’m not sure anything in this genre can survive the friday death knell.

The ratings for Fringe were really good (for a Friday).

I’m optomistic, and no longer cautiously. 🙂

I think it will make it but they should have never moved it from Tuesday or Wednesdays. It was doing fine when it was there. I worry that the same thing will happen to Big Bang Theory, should have kept it on Mondays.

First Supernatural now Fringe – my TV hates me.

@Jason The Big Bang Theory is doing great in its new Thursday timeslot and has recently been renewed by CBS for 3 more seasons with all the primary stars renewing their contracts for that time period.

Looks like Fringe drew a 1.9 Friday night and won it’s timeslot. It was an amazing episode and best watched live. 🙂

WT! Damn, I guess I didn’t have the DVR set for the series, I keep missing the boat. Well I’m almost caught up. Just caught The Abducted and that one was kick to the gut good. Had a lump in my throat at the end. Fringe is the only sci-fi on TV left that I care about.

Haven’t we learned that how good a show is has nothing to do with whether its going to get cancelled? I hope this lasts on Fridays, but honestly I’m not holding my breath.

I gathered the known Twitter accounts of the advertisers I saw on last weeks Fringe and then I followed them and sent them at @ reply tweet thanking them for sponsoring Fringe. Heres the list if you’d like to do the same: @VWGroup, @chilis, @fritolay,@chevrolet,@att,@XFINITY_TV,@verizonwireless,@Honda,@GreenHornet,@RamTrucks,@Snapple,@GEICO,@TMobile.

I got a few follows and replies thanking me for my interest.

@Mark – That is a great idea! Going to do that too.

Like dr. f., I’m cautiously optimistic. I don’t know that even “good for a Friday” ratings will satisfy Fox and their capricious scheduling ways, but I think the series itself is really good this year. Considering that its only first-run genre competition in that timeslot is Supernatural (what with Siffy airing wrestling then), I think it’s got a decent chance to at least stay in the top three.

There was too much else on Thursdays and I had to resort to the BitTardis to get Fringe. Now I can TiVo it on Fridays with no other competition (BBT & Community).

Fringe is not a good show to watch live. There’s too many WTF moments where I need to go back and/or freezeframe (no J. Geils puns now).
