This week, production began on AMC’s “The Walking Dead.”
Based on the best-selling comic book series, the show is being produced and directed by Frank Darabont. Production is currently underway in Atlanta and the mini-series will air in October of this year.
AMC has sent over an introductory video for the series that includes a first look at the zombies that will feature on the show. You can see more pictures of the undead at AMC’s blog for “The Walking Dead.”
This is cool, I’ve just started reading this comic series. A crude, off the cuff comparison would be Survivors with zombies. Though I havn’t seen much of Survivors to say if that is strictly true.
The point of the comic is to show what happens to the survivors after repel the zombie attack and the credits roll. How the producers will handle the open ended nature of the material will be interesting to see.
