Season Finales Tonight on the CW

May 13, 2010 By Mike Hickerson Leave a Comment

The season comes to a close tonight for “The Vampire Diaries” and “Supernatural.”

VAMPIRE DIARIES: (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) — “Founder’s Day”

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES

FOUNDER’S DAY TURNS DEADLY — Founder’s Day has finally arrived, and everyone is busy with last-minute preparations for floats and fireworks. Stefan (Paul Wesley) is uncomfortable with Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) new attitude toward Elena (Nina Dobrev), but Elena is more concerned about repairing her relationship with Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen). Jeremy is worried about Anna (guest star Malese Jow), but not sure he’s on board with her latest plan for the future. While Caroline (Candice Accola) is enjoying her day as Queen of the celebration, she also tries to help Matt (Zach Roerig) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) get their friendship back on track. Finally, although Damon and Alaric (Matt Davis) do their best to stop him, Johnathan Gilbert (guest star David Anders) sets a plan in motion that brings Founder’s Day to an end amid chaos, destruction and death. Sara Canning and Katerina Graham also star. Marcos Siega directed the episode written by Bryan Oh & Andrew Chambliss (#121).

SUPERNATURAL: (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) — “Swan Song”

SUPERNATURAL

THE APOCALYPSE — The entire season has been leading up to this showdown between good and evil. With the Apocalypse looming, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) realize they are out of options and make heart-breaking decisions that will change their lives forever. A beloved character is killed. Steve Boyum directed the episode with teleplay by Eric Kripke and story by Eric Gewitz (#522).
