“Smallville” Moving to Fridays

“Smallville” Moving to Fridays

May 21, 2009 By Mike Hickerson 5 Comments

The CW may be making things a little easier for genre fans on Thursday nights.  According to TV Guide, the network will move “Smallville” from Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST to Fridays at 8 p.m. EST in the fall.  The move is to make room for the new series, “The Vampire Diaries.”

The move takes the series out of competion with ABC’s new genre-vehicle, “Flash Forward.”  So, genre fans may now have to choose between two new shows in the time period.

The move isn’t necessarily a bad one for “Smallville.”  The series has shown a remarkable ability to change time slots and continue to deliver solid ratings.  So, a move to Fridays may not be a bad thing.

The entire CW schedule will be unveiled later today.

Actually, I mark the season finale as the beginning of the end (boy did that suck)

I don’t know, I thought the Season 7 finale was more of a letdown.

How did the finale suck? I was disappointed in the non battle between Doomsday and Clark but his “death” ushers in Zod and that should make for an even better final season.

CW stop dancing around! It’s really time for the tights, cape and flight already.
