guys – the shilling for donations is getting to be a bit much. Other podcasts seem to manage through advertising and without hitting up their listeners for cash to “keep the lights on.” It’s really tacky. I am a fan of several popular podcasts and the notion of them asking for money as often as you do would be unfathomable as they see it to be a part of the responsibility of their production to build a robust advertising income.

    Krayne,
I can assure you, no one is getting rich in podcasting. The little bit of money that comes in for the ad deals we have running barely makes the cost of internet connection. This is true across podcasting. For most, it is a hobby and they chalk it up to hobby expense.
FPM is a bit more than one show, and footing the entire bill for our costs would see this show and many others fall to the realm of “Pod-fade”.
Donate if you like, or not. Either way, we are going to do everything we can to keep this monster we’ve created rolling along.
At some point, our hope is to get enough money from advertising so that we CAN stop begging for donations. Until that day, if you want to have this show coming to you each week, you’ll have to deal with the pleas.
We are serious tho… If everyone that listened did spend $1 with us, the begging would end.

A Snorlax is a pokemon. In the game when ever you encounter a pokemon a massage pops up saying “a wild *insert pokemon name* appears” right before you start the fight.

    And there you have it.

And I should avoid commenting before I listen to the whole thing. oh well

    bionicDragon,
That would be because the show is one feed. Reg show and VM show come to you each week with one click. 😉

Is there any reason why the SoSF Voicemail show not show up on the FPM list of podcasts on the iTunes podcast list?
