Chuck Beaver – “Dead Space” On Slice of SciFi Show #172

Chuck Beaver – “Dead Space” On Slice of SciFi Show #172

July 31, 2008 By Sam Sloan Leave a Comment

On Saturday, August 2, 2008 our guest for Slice of SciFi show #172 will be Chuck Beaver senior producer of “Dead Space” for Electronic Arts (EA) Games.

“Dead Space” is a third-person action video game developed by EA and available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the PC.

After the game’s production was first announced in fall 2007, it has developed into a comic series and in March 2008 EA partnered with Starz to create an animated movie titled “Dead Space: Downfall.” The film is designed to be a prequel to the events found in the video game. “Dead Space: Downfall” is looking for a Halloween 2008 release date.

Our show will be jam-packed with news covering George Lucas, writer David Anthony Durham and actress Bryce Dallas Howard. We will take a look at Wes Craven’s newest film “25/8,” revisit the classic martial arts film “Ashes of Time” and talk about director Wong Kar Wai’s redux of the movie. Michael Eisner has a new stop-motion adult oriented animated series on tap for Nick at Nite and we share some “Battlestar Galactica” news. Producer Brad Fuller has made up his mind to bring back another classic horror film and update it and Dennis Quaid returns to the silver screen with the shocker “The Horsemen.”

Join us online this Saturday, August 2 for the next Slice of SciFi and our guest Chuck Beaver and again every Monday on Sirius XM Radio. See you then.
