Today, Latino Review reports a new casting rumor for the lead role in Prince of Persia–actor Jake Gyllenhaal. According to reports, Gyllenhaal has been offered the lead role in the upcoming franchise.
However, there may be a complication that prevents Gyllenhaal from accepting the role. The actor hurt his ankle playing basketball, which could prevent him from performing some of the intensive stunts required by the role. Based on his schedule, it is uncertain if Gyllenhaal will have time to heal and recuperate from his injury in time to play the title role.
