Author Peter S. Beagle Visits Slice of SciFi for Show #092 — January 17th

January 14, 2007 By Sam Sloan 1 Comment

Peter S. Beagle is the famous author of novels (fantasy and nonfiction), and screenplays. He is also a talented musician and singer. His very first novel, “A Fine and Private Place,” was published when he was only 19 years old and is considered a classic. But, his most recognized work is “The Last Unicorn,” rated as one of the top ten fantasy novels of all time.

Peter is equally popular for his screenplays, including the critically acclaimed episode on “Star Trek: The Next Generation” titled ‘Sarek.’ He wrote the screenplay for the 1978 Ralph Bakshi-animated version of “The Lord of the Rings,” and adapated “The Last Unicorn” on film.

His other claim to fame is his ownership of the literary estate of science fiction author Edgar Pangborn.

We will be talking to Peter about the ongoing legal battle over monies owed him for “The Last Unicorn,” and other projects he is currently involved in.

Be sure to join us on January 17th for Slice of SciFi Show #092 for the complete stories on all this news, a brand new Paul Puri Game Cube Review and our exciting interview the the great Peter S. Beagle.
