This is a story that Slice of SciFi has been holding for several weeks just waiting for verification out of Hollywood. But now we can finally give out the news that “Planet One,” a story about aliens who see human beings as a terrifying threat to their existence, has been given a greenlight for a go. As the aliens prepare for a human invasion fleet the movie will chronicle the threat from their point of reference.

Joe Stillman (Shrek) has been given script duty on this one, while studio heads have yet to choose a director and casting. Planet One won’t be out until 2008 so more news is to come as announcements are made.
