Michael and K.I.T.T. Heading for Theatrical Version?

October 20, 2005 By Kyle Nin 7 Comments

David Hasselhoff (Michael Knight) has bought up all the rights to “Knight Rider” and plans on having K.I.T.T. return as a big-screen project.

In this movie sequel to the TV Series, Knight and his son both have cars and fight injustice wherever it looms its ugly head. Hasselhoff says that it will be slightly retro but will be played more seriously than the TV show.

Veteran actor William Daniels, now 78, did the original voice work for K.I.T.T. and any remake just won’t seem the same unless he too is onboard.

So, do we add this one to the long, painful “make it stop” list?

We let it go ahead. And when it flops, then it will never happen again.

    I hope.

Though, I do admit that I used to like Knight Rider…. Scary.

I’m very much in favor of a Knight Rider movie. I used to watch the show on GMA-7 in 1983. I hope David Hasselhoff gets Ashton Kutcher or Tom Welling to play the lead.

Hey when I was a kid I used to Love Knight Rider. I would like to see them do the movie. Have Faith. I think its a passing the torch sorta deal. I know the not so Popular Remake back in the Mid to Late 90s where there were Several Talking Trucks, Cars and even Motarcycles didn’t really make it to a hit. (Really Cheesy if I remember right.) Maybe if they get a good writer and line up a good cast maybe there is some possibilites alot of Retro 80s stuff that I remember from being a kid is comming back look at the soon to come to the Theature (Transformers) Also the talk of a GI Joe Movie (Sign me up to play in that since I am the real thing) LOL
