Ted Naifeh’s graphic novel “Courtney Crumrin and the Night Things” will get a big screen adaptation.
Producers Stan Wilson and Brian J. Gilbert, in conjuction with FOX 2000 Pictures and New Regency cinema, will head up the production crew for the onscreen debut of this classic comic book story. To date no actors have been named.
Graham Tallman (Bulletproof Monk) has been tapped to pen the screenplay about a girl who is forced to move in with her sinister and eccentric professor Uncle Aloysius Crumrin after her parents have wasted all their financial resources on frivilous spending.
Once settled in Courtney finds herself in the middle of a mysterious world of witches, ghouls, warlocks and goblins. When her school mates start disappearing, she must play the role of detective to try and discover what has happened to her friends.
The film in currently in pre-production and no release date has yet been announced.
