"Safe House" Beats "Ghost Rider"

The new thriller Safe House topped the box office last weekend, easily beating out the new Ghost Rider sequel.

Safe House delivered $23.8 million in ticket sales. Last week’s top movie The Vow came in second with $23.1 million.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance didn’t open as strong as its predecessor. The film opened in third with $22.1 million. This was below what many in Hollywood expected the film to do.

Fourth place went to Journey 2: Mysterious Island. The newly opened This Means War was fifth with $17.3 million.

this is a surprise how? well, okay, if you believe in the power of reincarnated shamen and of magical talismen(s...whatever), then okay, you may be surprised by this. otherwise, we could have screened Barney takes a Dump and we would have had more interest from the movie going public. Nick Cage is a sad, pathetic, little clown who, in spite of what he may say about his acting craft and preparations, is always Nick Cage; the dopey eyed mumbler. Feh!
