It was a battle for box-office supremacy this weekend with Immortals edging out the latest comedy from Adam Sandler for the top spot.
Immortals took in $32 million in its opening weekend and debuted at the top of the chart. The comedy Jack and Jill took in $26 million.
Puss in Boots was just behind with $25.5 million.
Rounding out the top five were Tower Heist and the new Clint Eastwood directed J. Edgar.
