Movies leaking on-line before their theatrical debut is nothing new.
It famous happened two years ago to “Wolverine.” And now one of the most anticipated films of the year has seen a portion of it leaked on-line.
TorrentFreak reports that the first 36 minutes of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part One” has shown up on peer to peer file sharing services.
As expected, executives with Warner Brothers aren’t happy about this news.
“This constitutes a serious breach of copyright violation and theft of Warner Bros. property,” the studio tells the Hollywood Reporter in a statement. “We are working actively to restrict and/or remove copies that may be available. Also, we are vigorously investigating this matter and will prosecute those involved to the full extent of the law.”
TorrentFreak also reports that the footage is proving popular and is among the most downloaded via peer to peer file sharing networks.

Blah Blah Blah, protest all you want, you’re not fooling us with this publicity stunt.
