Dunst Joins “Melancholia”

April 21, 2010 By Mike Hickerson 3 Comments

Actress Kirsten Dunst has signed on for the lead role in director Lars Von Trier’s movie, “Melancholia.”

The lead role in the upcoming “sci-fi disaster” was originally intended for actress Penelope Cruz. Cruz dropped out of the project to join Johnny Depp in “Pirates of the Caribbean 4.”

Dunst is joined in the cast by Keifer Sutherland and Eric Northman.

Details of the script are being kept under wraps.

I think the word “actress” is being a little generous for someone of limited talents like Kirsten, don’t you?
