Harris: “Dr. Horrible 2” Will Be Feature Length

March 19, 2010 By Mike Hickerson 6 Comments

While we may not yet know when they’ll finally make the long-awaited sequel to “Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog,” we can at least tell you that it will be longer than the original.

Actor Neil Patrick Harris tells MTV News that the next installment will be feature-length.

Apparently they’re making a ‘Dr. Horrible’ sequel—a feature film, I hope,” laughed Harris. “I hope they cast me in it—we’ll see.”

“That’s their plan,” he reiterated when asked whether a feature-film was indeed the preferred format for the sequel. “I don’t know of what scale. They’re talking all options, because they made the first ‘Dr. Horrible’ in five days on no budget at all—that was its intention.”

Harris, of course, played the title character in the original and should be back for the sequel.

Joss Whedon, let’s get this thing rolling!

I never got into this fad… not particularly interested to see what they hype is about either.

Have you seen the original? If not, it’s available free on the various Doctor Horrible websites, hulu.com, and youtube.com.

@KG: Then I guess maybe you wasted your time reading this piece and leaving your comment, eh?

@TallGrrl – Next time I’ll submit my opinions through the TG-Filterama so that it can be stamped and approved by the thread police. Noted.

I’ll do KG one better and say that the first one pissed me off (see the Deep Geeking article for an in-depth explanation).

I’m done watching Whedon offerings, mainly because he likes to kill off sympathetic characters.

To be fair, I liked the first one all the way through to the last few minutes. But those last few minutes wiped out all the goodness for me, and I don’t need a repeat.

Wash-killers, and Penny-killers are not welcome in my world.
