“Avatar” has toppled another record. This time, the record was the biggest box-office gross for a movie in the United States long held by “Titanic.”
Variety reports the movie has made $601.1 million at the box-office, pushing it past “Titanic” which took in $600.8 million.
Adjusted for inflation, “Avatar” is still only the 21st highest grossing film of all time and has a long way to go before it would even come close to the top spot.

All the “hate” aside… you have to admire a man who can make two movies in 12 years that have made more money than the GDP of most 3rd world countries in the world. That’s impressive regardless of the quality of the scripting.
