Johansson Auctioning Tickets for “Iron Man 2” Premiere

September 17, 2009 By Mike Hickerson 1 Comment

scarlettActress Scarlett Johannson is looking to provide one fan with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and raise a bit of money for charity at the same time.

Johansson, who stars in the upcoming “Iron Man 2” is auctioning off the chance to attend the world-premiere of one of next year’s most anticipated films. The proceeds will go to the international charity organization Oxfam.

The bidding begins later today on eBay.com/Oxfam and runs until next Thursday (September 24).  The winner gets two tickets to the premiere and will get the chance to meet Johansson at the screening.

100% of proceeds from the auction will go to Oxfam America and will be used by them as part of their ongoing quest to find lasting solutions to poverty, hunger, and social injustice around the world.

“I’m so thrilled to be a part of this eBay charity opportunity, again raising funds for Oxfam,” Johansson said. “Oxfam is an incredibly worthy organization that I’m most passionate about.”

The winning bidder will attend the Los Angeles premiere and receive a complimentary session at the Cristophe Salon in Beverly Hills to prepare for the red carpet.

Just a chance? If you want to bring in some real money to the charity make it a day trip. And then triple it with the bags of money you got from making the movie.
