Norton Not in “Iron Man 2”

Norton Not in “Iron Man 2”

September 16, 2009 By Mike Hickerson 1 Comment

nortonLast year, Marvel Entertainment set movie fans abuzz with a cameo by Samuel L. Jackson in “Iron Man.” Later that summer, Robert Downey, Jr. had a cameo at the end of “The Incredible Hulk.”

Both cameos concerned the creation of SHIELD.

Now with Marvel producing a series of movies, all intended to culminate in the big-screen version of “The Avengers,” rumors have begun to crop up as to who may or may not cameo in the various films on the upcoming slate.

One rumor circling the Net has been that actor Ed Norton might have a cameo in “Iron Man 2” as Bruce Banner, aka the Incredible Hulk. The rumor may have jumped from one that speculates the Hulk will be the reason for the Avengers to assemble and that a Norton cameo in “Iron Man 2” would set that up.

However, Norton has now denied the rumor, saying that he will not be in “Iron Man 2.”

“I heard that. I don’t know where that’s coming from,” Norton told MTV News. “I am not in ‘Iron Man 2’ to my knowledge.”

The denial seems only to reference the next “Iron Man” movie and doesn’t address whether or not we’ll see him in “The Avengers.”

The cameos dealt with the Avenger Initiative… Nick Fury is the director of SHIELD… he said so in Ironman… SHIELD was walking all through the film speaking out the whole Acronym… Sheesh, I’ve only watched it once and I remember that much.
