The CW will roll out its new and returning shows over the course of September, according to TV Guide On-Line.
Of interest to genre fans: “Vampire Dairies” and “Supernatural” will kick off their sesasons on Thursday, September 10 and “Smallville” will debut in its new Friday time slot on Friday, September 25.

They’ll renew a crap series like 90210, add a Melrose Place remake, but can’t find room for “Reaper”? Life just isn’t fair.
Actually, I’ve heard comments about “prior commitments” as to why they couldn’t keep “Reaper”. I’m guessing this could be it. I have no idea about numbers, but I really thought I remembered 90210 getting crappy ratings.
Oh, CW, why did you have to renew Smallville? Now I have to keep watching it because I’m a completionist even though it’s been going swiftly downhill since they stopped having James Marsters as Brainiac.

Very true. But good luck getting him to sit still long enough to do it. 😉 The few times I’ve seen him in person he’s been amped up on coffee and/or Red Bull, which makes him super bouncy. (Totally adorable.)
The announcement that Smallville has snagged Brian Austin Green gives me a little bit of hope, but the angst amongst the Junior Justice League and the continually poor treatment of Chloe kinda make me long for the days of Birds of Prey. Oracle got a lot more respect than our girl Watchtower does.
